In 2017, after retiring from federal service and buying our retirement home in the Outer Banks, I discovered Miss Lizzie’s was for sale. The moment felt serendipitous—a chance to blend my passion for fashion with my lifelong dream of owning a business.

A Boutique with Heart & History
Miss Lizzie’s isn’t just a name—it carries a special legacy. Originally named after the founder’s daughter, Liz, the boutique has always held deep meaning. When I found it for sale in 2017, I knew I wanted to continue its journey—honoring its origins while beginning a new chapter. Though I go by Beth, my formal name is also Elizabeth, so keeping the name felt like the perfect fit—a way to preserve its history while shaping its future.
Growing up in a family-owned business environment, I always dreamed of entrepreneurship. When the opportunity presented itself, I took the leap—and ten months later, I was in place full-time! Today, Miss Lizzie’s gives me an outlet to connect, create, and celebrate fashion in ways that are both personal and community-driven.
